Category Splits

Hi. Just posting a note here since I didn't have enough room to explain myself in my edit summary. I know it's confusing, but basically, the Young Artist Award Association intermittently experimented with the Golden Globe model of splitting the "Leading Young Actor in a Feature Film" category into comedy, drama, horror, etc, during the late 1980s and early 1990s. They only tried this a handful of times and then soon returned to following the Academy Award model (which is why the info is all contained together on the Young Artist Award for Best Leading Young Actor in a Feature Film page). I know the creator of this template tried to follow the MOS of the Academy Award template, but, after adding the names of additional "split category" winners, I ended up departing from that MOS for formatting purposes. Basically, I tried employing the "slash" format when listing winners within the same year (*River Phoenix / Fred Savage / Patrick Dempsey / Corey Feldman (1987)), but this created formatting issues within the template syntax. The Academy Award navbox doesn't face this issue (apart from the occasional tie), but a long list of names separated by slashes essentially bumps everything onto it's own line, creating formatting problems within the template, so I opted for the solution that seemed to work best (*River Phoenix (1987) *Fred Savage (1987) *Patrick Dempsey (1987) *Corey Feldman (1987)). It's just more visually appealing and keeps the navbox tidy. I just wanted to post a note here to say I know the creator of this template was careful to follow the Academy template, and I would ordinarily follow the general MOS set by the Academy pages/templates as well, so the change wasn't made carelessly or in error. It was just the best fix for a weird problem, most likely unique to this particular navbox. Any questions or concerns, please just leave a little "talkback" note on my talk page and I'll know you need me to follow up here. --- Crakkerjakk (talk) 07:36, 4 January 2013 (UTC)
