I have seen many articles categorised in a category and also the immediate parent of that category. This could be due to classification into a subcategory by the editor but non-removal of parent category. Should the immediate parent of a category not be removed from the articles containing the subcategory as well? Agreed, so the short answer is "no". A lot of time is wasted correcting edits by those drive-by editors who don't fully understand the (admittedly complicated) policies on this. Johnbod (talk) 12:46, 12 October 2015 (UTC)

As a Pending Changes Reviewer it would be helpful to have a persistent link at the top right corner of each Wikipedia page, next to the the

User | Notification badges | Talk | Preferences | Beta | Watchlist | Contributions | Log out

links area so it would look more like this:

User | Notification badges | Talk | Preferences | Beta | Watchlist | Pending changes | Contributions | Log out

At most, I'd suggest an optional gadget; there's a lot of stuff up there already. I also imagine that different kinds of patrollers (new page, AfC, various backlogs, etc.) might want something similar and they can't all be up there. Regards, Orange Suede Sofa (talk) 04:17, 16 October 2015 (UTC)
