On a few AfDs I noticed you voted to merge and then delete. I am contacting you here because merging articles does not involve the deletion of the parent articles. When articles are merged, the now obsolete parent articles should be turned into redirects so that the author history is preserverd. Failing to keep track of author history of Wikipedia content is a violation of the GFDL, which is the reason why we keep the redirects rather then deleting them. There are reputable, respectable sources out there making the case for NyLon but those endorsing the deletion have got no eyes for them and seem to stubbornly refuse the evidence . "World capital?
