Sheikh Sayyid ˈAbdur-Rahmān al-Bukhāri (1920 – 1 February 2014),^[2]^[3] known as Ullal Thangal^[1] and honoured with the title Tājul Ulamā^[3] lit. 'Crown Among the Clerics',^[4] was an Indian Islamic scholar.^[4] He was the President of Samastha,^[1] Jamia Sa-adiya Arabic College,^[5] Principal of the Sayyid Madani Arabic College, Ullal,^[6] and the Qazi of Ullal and several districts of Karnataka state.^[6]

He was a prominent member of the undivided Samastha until the split of the Sunnis in 1989^[4] and the Samastha's AP faction thereafter.^[1] .He is The teacher of Famous Scholars like NM Usthad, Bekal Usthad , Sharaful Ulama Abbas Musliyar, etc

His grave is in Ettikulam, Kannur district of Kerala.^[7]^[8]^[9]
