The superscript after each template refers (in the manner of a footnote) to the list of modules beneath. Certes (talk) 16:22, 27 July 2018 (UTC)

That mirrors how refs work, by placing <ref>...</ref> (which gets turned into a number) after the thing it refers to, and {{reflist}} showing the notes prefixed by their number. - Evad37  07:42, 28 July 2018 (UTC)

I can't be the first to come to the talk page to ask the same question. Please add something to the navbox to explain the refs. Or just remove them — GhostInTheMachine ^{talk to me} 07:54, 3 June 2024 (UTC)

I've updated the template. I hope that the mapping between templates and modules is now more obvious. Certes (talk) 12:30, 3 June 2024 (UTC)
