Hypertropic scars, especially from burns, can and do sometimes restrict movement. This isn't dubious, as the scar tissue is both physically bulkier than unscarred tissue, and less elastic. Some references/sources:

i have changed to "hypertrophic scars are red to brown and thick". in the article scars, it is mentioned that people with darker skin have brown hypertrophic scars.120.138.12.75 (talk) 15:59, 23 May 2023 (UTC)
